BD re-edited it, improving it in 2010. It’s probably one of the best designs by Oscar Tusquets. Even though its appearance is totally artesanal, it was his first real wooden industrial project, taking into consideration the sizes of the machines, so that they could make the turns that model the legs. The result is the image of a hand carved, slender sculpture. Some critic tried to see in it the admiration for the author Salvador Dalí, however, when Tusquets saw it finished, his thoughts were that the evident influences came from Antoni Gaudí, the most universal Catalonian architect, and from Carlo Mollino, a great Italian designer from the 50’s. That’s why he called the chair, Gaulino.
