Ros(a)e is a hand tufted rug. The round raised designs which decorate the rug are hand chiselled in the wool surface according to a pre-determined pattern; they can be executed in wool or in silk. Ros(a)e rug can be produced in one colour or in more colours: one for the background and a maximum of three for the design. Considering that silk dying always results in lighter tones, this creates a tone on tone effect on rugs with surface in wool and design in silk of the same colour.
