Today Serralunga’s Design line of pots benefits from the contributions of famous architect Carlo Colombo, who designed and created the “Uovo di Colombo” illuminated pots for Serralunga.
This project highlights Colombo’s tendency to avoid the predominance of decoration in garden design, aesthetics for aesthetics' sake, and the superfluous. Instead Colombo focuses on pure and basic lines and on simple shapes. Illuminated pots that, according to the Comasco designer, should represent the time in which it is created and, at the same time, be timeless. This is a philosophy that Marco Serralunga fully embraces. His passion for shapes is linked to the mastery of plastic materials and immediate functionality.
