CH404, like the other two sofas in the series, is based on the lounge chair CH401 which was chosen as the waiting room chair throughout Kastrup Airport shortly after it was designed in 1958. Hans J. Wegner’s CH404, designed for Copenhagen Airport in 1990, with its four seats is the longest of the sofas in the Kastrup series. The sofa’s upholstered and individually replaceable seats are placed on a continuous tube with only three sets of inclined legs, designed to ease floor cleaning. CH404 is comfortable and made of modern materials.
