BAR STOOLS

Drop Barstool

Designer: Pauline Deltour

Drop by Pauline Deltour is the name of a whole family consisting of a mobile roller stool, a stackable stool, a large pouf, benches, bar stools and a bar table. The small components are mobile, while the larger ones form a meeting point in the office or at home. What they all have in common is that they are laid-back. A round, fully visible steel frame enfolds each upholstered body. Tone in tone. Four legs with rollers turn the small stool into the office runabout — an incredibly practical colleague. The perfect additive for a mobile working environment.“I share my office with friends,”says the French designer, “and on holiday I use Airbnb.” It is precisely this lightness and joy that Drop emanates. A dash of French savoir vivre. Slender radii made of tubular steel and puristic upholstery cores are unmistakable design features of the Drop seating furniture. The successful initial design of the stool has now given rise to further protagonists. New opportunities for upward mobility are offered by beautifully designed bar stools and bar table, which encourage tête-à-têtes while cooking and eating, or heart-to-hearts at the bar. The slim upholstered benches are also versatile and can be stacked if required. Their most outstanding talents? The ability to be many things and to remain flexible, even in the smallest of spaces. The user determines the intended purpose as a temporary seat, bench or workstation. Laptop and cappuccino are not included, but a small practical extension table is.
